Sound and Light Show
 

There is a nightly  Sound and light show at Thirumalai Nayak Palace with the English version from 6.45PM to 7.30PM.The show explains about the reign of Thirumalai Nayak from 1623 to 1655as this was an important period.During this time much of the building of the famous Sri Meenakshi Temple took place.Madurai became the cultural centre of the Tamil people. The show explains the history and different parts of the Palace are lit up to help tell the story of this dynasty.An entry fee is approximately 50Rs.
