Jeep Safari at Nagarhole National Park
 

Nagarhole National Park has a well deserved reputation as one of the best places in south India to see animals with healthy populations of tigers, leopards and sloth bears making this a compelling destination for wildlife enthusiasts. A variety of vegetation types including quite open forests affords excellent habitat for many types of herbivores. Birdlife is prodigious in Nagarhole as well. A jeep safari in the Park can be undertaken either at dawn or late in the afternoon and departs from your accommodation. It is not uncommon in this region for animals to be seen on roadsides throughout the approaches to the Park- you will know you’re getting close to the core areas of Nagarhole if you see small numbers of elephants on the road. You are accompanied on the safari by a Naturalist
