Spend 2 weeks discovering some of the lesser known locations in Kerala. With its long trading history the port town of Cochin will delight the senses with its varied sightseeing experiences. These include the Dutch Palace, St. Francis Church, and the Chinese fishing nets. Watch a Kathakali dance performance at Fort Cochin.  Enjoy the wonderful sight of the Athirapally waterfalls cascading from rocks within a dense green jungle. Visit a plantation in the gentle hills of Munnar and discover how tea, coffee, and cardamom are grown. Wash and feed the elephants or take a nature walk in the wildlife sanctuary at Periyar. In Kanjirapally where rubber is an important crop, witness rubber-tapping while you experience a plantation homestay.  Relax against the backdrop of green paddy fields while staying in the backwaters at Kumarakom. Visit Alleppey, known as ‘the Venice of the east ‘, with its crisscrossing canals, and villages. Sunbathe on the golden beach at Varkala where you will have fewer crowds to share the sand with.
