The 15 km of golden sand is a popular spot for swimming and sunbathing. On the inland side of the island is a large lagoon- only a few hundred metres of land separates the two bodies of water.This is one of the few places where we can see the lagoon (poyil) and ocean separated only by a few hundreds of meters.
