Poovar Beach is a developing area of resorts near to Kovalam Beach in the far south of Kerala. Poovar is basically a fishing village which can only be reached by water. Known for its pristine and unspoilt beauty, Poovar Beach is a backed by an estuary and one is likely to see as many local fishermen in this area as tourists.
